Dulux Trade High Performance Floor Paint is a water-based two-pack epoxy floor paint, suitable for high traffic areas. Its hard wearing properties make it suitable for both interior and exterior use. It offers excellent abrasion resistance on concrete and metal floors, drying to a highly durable mid-sheen finish.
Application: Brush or roller only, do not spray. Mixing Ratio: Supplied in correct proportions. Add all of this Base to the Activator container and mix thoroughly for at least 5 minutes using a jiffy paddle in an electric drill, until the product is smooth and even. Do not mix part units. Badly activated or incorrectly mixed materials will affect performance and may cause early failure or discolouration. The mixed product should be allowed to stand for 5 minutes before application commences. Once started, application should continue without a break, cutting in where necessary as the application proceeds. Pot Life: Up to 1 hour at 15°C. Up to 45 minutes at 23°C. Poor adhesion will result if product is thinned and used after pot life times.
Basic Colours
  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
To get the best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry).
  • 2. After use
Cleaning After Final Use- Cleaning your brushes and rollers immediately after their final use ensures they can be reused for multiple projects, saving you money and reducing waste. Cleaning- 1. Remove Excess Paint- Scrape off excess paint into container for future projects. 2. Clean with Warm, Soapy Water- Use warm, soapy water in a sealed container, such as a bucket or empty tub, to clean your brushes and rollers. 3. Rinse Thoroughly- Ensure all soap and paint residues are completely rinsed out into container. 4. Dry Naturally- Allow brushes and rollers to dry naturally and store them in a dry, dust-free place. 5. Allowing solids to settle- Allow the paint solids to settle at the bottom of the container. Once settled, pour the clear water into another container for reuse or disposal. 6. Responsible Disposal- Let the remaining paint solids dry out completely and dispose of them as solid waste. Do not flush paint down the drain, including when cleaning painting tools
  • 3. Storing
Storing & Responsible Disposal Do not use or store paint in extreme temperatures and protect from frost. Whenever possible, reuse, recycle, or donate leftover paint. Find local services at mywaste.ie or consider advertising paint locally—many good causes need it to brighten community spaces. Dispose Responsibly- Never pour paint or waste washings down drains or sinks. Follow instructions at mywaste.ie to recycle empty packs. Reuse Roller Cages- Remove sleeves and store cages in a dry, dust-free place. If brushes or sleeves cannot be cleaned or reused, dispose of them in general waste to avoid recycling issues. Paint Washings- Collect used brush cleaner in a container; don't pour it into drains or on the ground. Let solids settle, pour off clear liquid into another container for reuse or disposal. Dispose of remaining solids and used cleaner at a hazardous waste facility. Do not flush paint down drains, including when cleaning tools.
