Product Description

Dulux Trade Alkali Resisting Primer is a solvent-based primer particularly suitable for use on interior and exterior masonry surfaces, including plaster, that may contain alkalis. It is also highly recommended for its outstanding stain sealing properties, and will help seal fire damaged surfaces after very thorough cleaning and rinsing. Can also be used to prime surfaces treated with fire retardant chemicals.

Application Description

Brush only. For Health and Safety reasons related to all solvent-based paints, spray application is not recommended.
As with other solvent-based paints, do not apply at temperatures below 5ºC (as recommended by British Standard BS 6150).

Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces - No smoking. Keep container tightly closed. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell. Keep cool. Dispose of contents and container in accordance with all local, regional, national or international regulations. Contains 2-butanone oxime. May produce an allergic reaction. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE. After suitable preparation, the normal recommendation is to apply one coat of Dulux Trade Alkali Resisting Primer, followed by the appropriate Dulux Trade finishing system.
For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient tinted paint for each job including touch-in at one time from the same source.

Tips & Advice

1. Cleaning

After use, remove as much product as possible from equipment before cleaning with white spirit.
2. Storing

Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost. To prevent spillage, please store and transport upright.
