Diamond Glaze from Dulux Trade is a water-based maximum durability interior clear wood varnish. It is a simple one pack system and is ideal for use on wooden floors and other high wear interior wood surfaces. It is up to ten times tougher than conventional varnish* and is resistant to common chemicals, alcohol and hot water. Suitable for use over cork tiles, hardboard and chipboard etc.
Brush or short pile mohair roller only. Do not spray.

Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell. Dispose of contents and container in accordance with all local, regional, national or international regulations. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE, taking care not to use a whipping motion, which will introduce air and cause foaming when applied. Apply 2 or 3 coats of Diamond Glaze Varnish from Dulux Trade using either a brush or short pile mohair roller. Apply evenly and consistently, taking care to keep the 'wet edge' alive and finish off along the grain. Apply a small test area first to check adhesion and appearance. When recoating allow at least 2 hours between coats. Rub down lightly along the grain between coats using a fine grade adhesive paper. Before using coloured Diamond Glaze Varnish from Dulux Trade on base wood, pre-seal with a coat of Diamond Glaze Varnish from Dulux Trade Clear Gloss to minimise colour absorption differences.
Apply 1-2 coats of coloured Diamond Glaze Varnish from Dulux Trade to achieve the desired depth of colour. For further protection, without deepening the colour, a finishing coat of Diamond Glaze Varnish from Dulux Trade in Clear Gloss or Satin may be applied. After use, remove as much Diamond Glaze Varnish from Dulux Trade in Clear Trade in Clear Gloss or Satin may be applied. After use, remove as much Diamond Glaze Varnish from Dulux Trade as possible from equipment before cleaning with water.


Do not use below 10ºC or in areas of high humidity or condensation. Very hot objects such as bottles, coffee pots etc. should not be placed directly on top of Diamond Glaze Varnish from Dulux Trade coated surfaces. Surfaces should be protected from water, steam, spillages and hard stress (such as abrasion or polishing) for a minimum of 5 days after application. With careful occupation, light foot traffic is allowed after 24 hours but to prevent possible damage to floor while the full mechanical resistance develops, avoid heavy wear and do not replace carpet or rugs or move furniture for at least 7 days after application.   • 1. After use
    Cleaning After Final Use- Cleaning your brushes and rollers immediately after their final use ensures they can be reused for multiple projects, saving you money and reducing waste. ​ Cleaning-​ 1. Remove Excess Paint- Scrape off excess paint into container for future projects.​ 2. Clean with Warm, Soapy Water- Use warm, soapy water in a sealed container, such as a bucket or empty tub, to clean your brushes and rollers. ​ 3. Rinse Thoroughly- Ensure all soap and paint residues are completely rinsed out into container.​ 4. Dry Naturally- Allow brushes and rollers to dry naturally and store them in a dry, dust-free place.​ 5. Allowing solids to settle- Allow the paint solids to settle at the bottom of the container. Once settled, pour the clear water into another container for reuse or disposal. ​ 6. Responsible Disposal- Let the remaining paint solids dry out completely and dispose of them as solid waste.​ Do not flush paint down the drain, including when cleaning painting tools​
  • 2. Storing
    Storing & Responsible Disposal- Do not use or store paint in extreme temperatures and protect from damp & frost. Reuse, Recycle, or Donate- Whenever possible, reuse, recycle, or donate leftover paint. Find local services at mywaste.ie or consider advertising paint locally—many good causes need it to brighten community spaces. Dispose Responsibly- Never pour paint or wastewater down drains or sinks. Follow instructions at mywaste.ie to recycle empty packs. Reuse Roller Cages- Remove sleeves and store cages in a dry, dust-free place. Dispose of Unusable Brushes and Sleeves- If brushes or sleeves cannot be cleaned or reused, dispose of them in general waste to avoid recycling issues. Paint Wash Water- Collect wash water in a container; don’t pour it into drains or on the ground. Let solids settle, pour off clear water for reuse or disposal, and let solids dry before disposing as solid waste. Do not flush paint down drains, including when cleaning tools.
