Weathershield Stabilising Primer is a solvent-based primer specially formulated to seal unstable areas which remain powdery and chalky after the surface has been thoroughly prepared for painting with Weathershield Masonry Paints. It should not be used as a general purpose sealer on normal or sound surfaces (e.g. not powdery and chalky after the surface has been thoroughly prepared). New or sound bare surfaces should only be sealed with a thinned first coat of the masonry paint itself.

  • 1. After use
Cleaning After Final Use- Cleaning your brushes and rollers immediately after their final use ensures they can be reused for multiple projects, saving you money and reducing waste. Cleaning- 1. Remove Excess Paint- Scrape off excess paint into container for future projects. 2. Use Paint Thinner- Use a paint thinner to clean brushes and rollers. 3. Reuse Paint Thinner- Allow the paint solids to settle and reuse the thinner by pouring the clear liquid into another container. Responsible Disposal- Dispose of the remaining solids and used thinner at a hazardous waste facility. Do not pour any solvent-based paint, paint thinner or wash water down the drain or onto the ground. Do not flush paint down the drain, including when cleaning painting tools
  • 2. Storing
    1. Reuse, Recycle, or Donate- Whenever possible reuse, recycle, or donate leftover paint. Find local services at mywaste.ie or consider advertising the paint locally. Many good causes often need paint, and a little can go a long way in brightening up community spaces! 2. Dispose Responsibly- Never pour paint or wastewater down drains or sinks. Dispose of them responsibly. Follow the instructions at my waste.ie to recycle empty packs 3. Reuse Roller Cages- Roller cages can be reused. Simply remove the sleeve and store the cage in a dry, dust-free place. 4. Dispose of Unusable Brushes and Sleeves- If your brush or roller sleeve cannot be cleaned or reused, place it in your general waste bin. While recycling is important, bristles or roller sleeves with paint can cause issues at recycling facilities, so it's best to dispose of them correctly.
